Make sure the handle is all the way up in the horizontal position Customer : I tried that and it didn't work. Program button is only for programming a personal code number that is different from the factory code. This will open the door with the original code. Just enter you factory code without using the program button. The program button is for using a personal 'Pin Number' that you want, it's not for the regular factory code. If the key pad goes green light, it's the batteries are too weak to open the pin for the door handle to open the main door bolt. If you do not get the green light, the number is ***** correct that you are entering.
